To celebrate Holi, the vibrant and colorful Hindu festival widely celebrated in India and among Indian communities around the world, our Youth Advisory Board member, Mohammad Nas, has written a heartfelt reflection on what this joyous occasion means to him.
Holi, the festival of colors, has always been a joyous celebration for me. One of my most memorable moments was running around in a swirl of colors with friends, laughter echoing around us. The day started with traditional sweets and ended with everyone, strangers and loved ones alike, drenched in vibrant hues around our neighborhood.
What I love most is how Holi dissolves barriers, no one is a stranger when covered in colors. I usually celebrate it with my friends and each time, I get swept up in the joy of the day, and even after the colors fade, the feeling of warmth and togetherness lingers.
