In 2018, a number of Australian energy businesses across the supply chain came together with consumer and customer representatives to develop the Energy Charter. Their purpose is to empower one another across the energy supply chain to deliver better energy outcomes for customers and communities. Their vision is that together, we can create a better energy future for all Australians.
The development of the Energy Charter was a collaborative process with consumer and customer representatives sharing critical perspectives and insights. Since launching in 2019, they’ve worked to help Australian consumers decrease energy costs and usage. We supported their ‘Keep the money’ campaign through translating resources, recording audio and filming a video in Auslan.
The Campaign
The Energy Charter started the ‘Keep the money’ campaign to inform eligible Australians about potential government support on energy bills. Through research, they found out that 60% of eligible people were not utilising the energy concessions.
To help reach more Australians about these potential savings, we translated factsheets and recorded audio in 11 languages. We also recorded a video in Auslan to reach a wider community.
The Work
The resources include a fact sheet, audio recordings and an Auslan video recording to inform Australians about energy concessions offered by the government to help with cost of living.
We translated all resources into Auslan, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Nepali, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese.
